Acupuncture and Facial Rejuvenation
Amy's work and study spans many venues. She sees patients in an urgent care setting in Portland, Maine, and also works with patients and clients privately through her practice, Medicine Within, offering a variety of approaches to health and wellness through acupuncture, yoga, myofascial work and guided meditation. Amy also founded Riverbend Yoga and Meditation Studio in Yarmouth, ME, and leads workshops both locally and around the world with Yoga Medicine. She has worked with Maine Medical Center and Tufts Medical School to provide meditation and resiliency curricula for medical students, residents, physicians and nurses.

Amy believes there are many different approaches to and traditions of healing and wellness and she believes we can integrate these systems to arrive at what we are all striving for: happy, healthy and fulfilling lives.
Background
Amy earned her MD from the Larner School of Medicine at the University of Vermont and did her residency in Emergency Medicine at Maine Medical Center. She earned a B.A. in Economics at Wellesley College. Her yoga and myofascial training has been under the tutelage of many gifted teachers including Jacqui Bonwell, Josh Summers, Tiffany Cruikshank, Tom Myers, Johnny Gillespie and the talented TRX course instructors. Amy trained in acupuncture through the University of New England’s Integrated Structural Acupuncture Course for Physicians with Joe Audette, MD, and Kiiko Matsumoto, Lic. Ac. and now serve as teaching staff for this course. In addition, she has completed Facial Rejuvenation training with Michelle Gellis, La.C. and Shellie Goldstein La. C., and have also studied musculoskeletal acupuncture extensively with Dr. Anthony Lombardi and CMTW.
